Way Behind...

I knew I have been getting behind on this blog, but I didn't realize how far behind!  It's been a week!

My excuse?  Well, it's a bit embarrassing.  I've been holding a grudge against couponing.  Why?  Well, that's the embarrassing part.  You see, I've been looking forward to Christmas candy sales since before Christmas.  In fact, we didn't even buy Christmas candy this year because of it!

I watched the blogs religiously until I saw that Target Christmas items were finally down to 75% off.  Then, I gathered my coupons and skipped my way to Target giddy as ever.  I grabbed my cart and practically ran to the Christmas section.  (It's a good thing my husband was carrying my baby!)

And then my heart broke.  There was nothing left.  Nothing except for the junk that nobody wanted, including me.  So so depressing.  My husband said I had the saddest, lost look on my face as he watched me go up and down the aisles.  It got worse - they were sold out of everything I had coupons for.  Well, almost.  They had trash bags, but they weren't that great a deal.  My husband felt so bad for me that he convinced me to get them!  So, we went home with trash bags instead of candy.  So so depressing.

That was the cause of my week-long grudge against couponing.  I didn't even look at my favorite blogs!  (Very pathetic, I know.)

Then, Christy told me about this great deal at Safeway.  I could get crackers for free!  No out of pocket cost!  I was back.  I had my husband buy the crackers.  Yum.  Thank you, Christy!
